Certification Details

The B@rre^® certification will teach you everything you need to implement a successful barre program anywhere – whether you teach at a gym, studio, health club, or university.

Fusing the worlds of pilates, yoga, aerobics, and elements of the strengthening exercises dancers do, B@rre® delivers a results-driven workout that will sculpt your students’ bodies, get them into amazing shape, and have them coming back for more.

As a B@rre^® instructor, you’ll learn the correct way to teach barre that is fun and totally unique for your students. You’ll also learn how to structure an effective barre workout that meets all your students’ needs, whether you’re teaching on a barre or off one. You’ll learn barre specific cueing, so that your students will feel empowered, motivated, and have the ability to progress.

The B@rre^® certification is an 7-hour in-person certification workshop. You’ll receive everything you need to begin teaching classes the very next day.

 *NAFTA, course materials will be presented to you electronically upon completion of your purchase. The courses included the electronic materials, the workshops and/or the OnDemand Videos, written exam and practical exams (where applicable). Upon successful completion the participants will receive a certification.

NAFTA does not offer refunds, transfers nor course credits for any purchase or incomplete course.

Participants have 90 days from the date of purchase to complete the course. If not completed within the 90 days, you can request a 30-day extension but it must be requested prior to the 90 day expiration date.

Requirements

The following eligibility requirements have been implemented for the certification exam:

• Have completed high school (or equivalent).
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a current CPR/AED certification with a live skills check.
• You must hold current certification in Basic First Aid and it must be current at the time of the exam. Those submitting proof of First Aid Certification with their application will be exempt from future audits, up to the expiration date of the certification. (You may sit for the exam without proof of First Aid Certification; however, you will not receive your exam results until you provide proof of current First Aid certification.)
• Present a current government-issued photo ID with signature (driver’s license, passport, military ID)
• In order to take the Certification exams, you must attend the NAFTA workshop for the specific certification you are pursuing and have taken the practical examination component prior to receiving your on line access to the written exam.
